Sleeping with My Savior

Idell Green can sleep only when Irene is beside him. He is a rich businessman with chronic insomnia, and Irene is a woman with no money whom he married by contract. He proposed the contract because he wanted an heir, and it also put Irene out of the reach of a greedy uncle. He had wanted her from the first time he saw her. He found out about the sleeping after their first night together. After the wedding they live in the same house and grow close. Irene is bullied at one point, and at another her uncle is kidnapped, and both times Idell steps in for her. She gains confidence under his care and helps him toward a cure in return. Then Irene's grandmother dies. Idell is accused of something he did not do, and two people near the couple set about breaking them up. Irene makes a show of ending things with Idell and goes over to their side to find out what they are planning. Idell, for his part, works at winning her back.
