Douglas is born into the richest family in the country. Someone saves his life when he is a boy, and he grows up believing it was the girl who later becomes his girlfriend. Out of gratitude he hides his identity and spends eight years quietly building up her company. She has secretly married her assistant. The two of them belittle Douglas, take the results of his work as their own, and eventually make an attempt on his life.
