Shannon took her cousin Sylvia Quinn's house, told Sylvia that Shawn Payne had married someone else, and put her own daughter forward as Shawn's child. Sylvia was an orphan in a village that called her bad luck, and she was about to kill herself when she came across Shawn, who was stranded there after a fight over his family's holdings.
