The Secret in the Cattery

Lin Chen runs a cattery deep in the mountains, and his behavior around it gets stranger the longer his wife Xu Xueqing watches him. She asks her close friend Lin Xiaoshan to slip inside and film what is there. Lin Xiaoshan goes in and does not come out; nobody can say whether she is alive. Xu Xueqing eventually recovers her friend's phone, opens the video shot inside the cattery, and sees that her husband has been hiding something, and that the girlfriend who supposedly died three years ago is in there. She brings in her parents-in-law to force the issue, and under their pressure Lin Chen opens the cattery. The only person inside is Lin Xiaoshan, out of her mind. Convinced there is more, Xu Xueqing conceals who she is and goes in a second time. She finds her friend again, follows where she leads, and reaches a laboratory, where she is stealing files when her husband catches her. She accuses him of running an illegal operation. The fight that follows drives her out of the house and up into the mountains, where she loses her footing and falls from a cliff.
