June Shane wants to finish her degree the way the other students in her year will and then live an ordinary life. She is the first daughter born into the Shane family in eighteen generations, and the household has treated her as the luck that came to them since she was small. She picked stocks, property developments and entertainment ventures that everyone else had written off, and each one turned around and paid out. Her father heads the family group, her three older brothers hold its energy, property and media companies, and all of them lean on her far enough to kneel and ask her to take the chairman's seat. She turns them down and goes back to class. The family does not stay out of her way for long, since the company's crises, its fights with competitors and the quarrels inside the house all work their way back to her.
