Sister, Thanks for Dumping Him!

The wedding is set for the Spring Festival. Mary has refused John, and her younger sister Shirley has said that if Mary will not have him, she will marry him herself. Shirley found him at a street stall. John had set one up for the day out of an old habit from before he had money, and when she came across him he told her he had gone bankrupt. He had not. He is the man known as Master Dragoni, one of the largest fortunes anywhere, and he keeps his name off it. Shirley took the bankruptcy at face value and did not think less of him for it. She is holding something back as well. She is the Netherlord and has power John has no idea about, and she hides it so that a man she believes to be broke will not feel small beside her. The figure she has admired for years is the man she is marrying, and she has not worked that out. Mary thinks her sister has attached herself to a broke stall vendor.
