Synopsis

Claire Gould is under pressure to marry a man she does not want, and her fiance will not take no for an answer. To get rid of him she picks a security guard at her building, Ethan Cole, and tells people he is her boyfriend. That puts Ethan in the middle of a run of trouble, including the family behind the engagement and the people who back them. He handles each problem as it comes. Claire and Ethan grow closer over the course of it, and he wins her over. His dealings with two other women, Zhou Ruonan and Li Xian'er, shift as well.

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
