Don't Mess With the Sweet One

Su Li's mother died when she was young and the household closed around her afterward. Her father took the stepmother's side in everything, her grandmother had no use for granddaughters, the stepmother wanted the family's money settled on her own child, and the half sister was pleasant in company and ruthless out of it. Su Li's answer to all of it was to be good. She swallowed the accusations, did what she was told, gave up what was asked for, and kept expecting that at some point it would count for something. It did not. She was set up by the people she had spent her life accommodating and she died angry, with the whole account still open. Then she opens her eyes years earlier, before any of it has happened, in a body that has not yet learned to keep quiet. She knows what each of them will do and roughly when.
