Sonya's mother would not stop pushing her toward marriage, and Sonya, a director at her group, settled it by marrying a younger man she had met once at an arranged meeting. He kept the house, looked after her in small daily ways, and then joined the company as an intern, where he helped her get through several crises at work. She found out he was the company's CEO, the one nobody had ever seen. He had been running the group the whole time she thought she was carrying him.
