Ye Feng's wife cleaned him out and left. He lost the business and the property, along with the standing that came with them, and the people who had deferred to him made a point of letting him know the situation had changed. His young daughter is seriously ill and the hospital needs money he does not have. At the bottom of this, with nothing left to sell and nowhere left to ask, the bloodline of an ancient dragon wakes inside him. It gives him strength and a physical capacity that has no relation to the man who was begging for a loan the week before. He goes back into the city with it. The men who took his company are still where he left them, and so are the family who signed off on his humiliation and the ex-wife who arranged the whole thing, and none of them has any idea what he now is. He starts with his daughter's treatment and works outward from there, and someone above the people he is knocking down has been directing them the entire time.
