Ye Qiu came up from Blue Star as the finest talent his world had produced in an age, and when he ascended to the Heavenly Court they put him to work as material to be spent. His daughter is imprisoned there. His wife Lin Wan'er is held with her soul detained, and Deng Tianjun and the other powers of the court humiliate him whenever it suits them. With nothing left to lose he activates a divine sign-in system and breaks through to the Great Emperor realm, and from that point he stops obeying. He gathers the Monkey King, an old acquaintance, along with Yang Jian, who has swallowed years of insult, and Nezha, who tears off what was binding him. The four of them go through Flower Fruit Mountain, fight the Heavenly Court, force their way into the Underworld and up Sacred Mount, against the Jade Emperor and the Buddha and everything at the top of the order.
