Synopsis

Modern tile worker John Smith transmigrates into the world of Journey to the West, spending three years installing tiles on Mt. Five Fingers for Sun Wukong. When he meets the Jade Emperor, he mistakenly assumes the deity is his father and exposes the scheme behind the westward journey. The Jade Emperor plays along. John blazes through the Three Realms, rewriting the fates of everyone in this world with his modern skills and overwhelming power.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
