The Better Marriage

The marriage certificate Lin Qingyan has kept for three years is a fake. The legal wife of Song Yanjin, the real Mrs. Song, is her best friend. It takes Lin Qingyan the whole three years to find this out, and by the time she does she has nothing left to feel for him. She accepts an invitation and goes alone to register a marriage with the head of the Sheng family, Sheng Ting, a man whose face she has never seen. Each of them gets something they need out of the arrangement, and at the start that is all it is. Then one keeps stepping in to protect the other, and over time the arrangement turns into a marriage both of them want. On the day Lin Qingyan's wedding has the whole city talking, Song Yanjin's family is left with its regrets. Lin Qingyan keeps her arm through Sheng Ting's and smiles while she watches them take the consequences of what they did.
