The Throwaway Titan's Comeback

Zheng Tao spent his career as a king of the battlefield, and when he retired to Longcheng he told nobody what he had been. He went first to his eldest son's house and was put out on the street by the son and daughter-in-law. His second son took him in. That household had almost nothing, so Zheng Tao went looking for work at his age and was hired at the Qingran Group as bodyguard to Gu Qingran. Gu Qingran thought she had been given an old man as an ornament and said so. Zheng Tao did not tell her otherwise and did not rely on fighting either. He talked his way through the first situations and got her out of them, and then out of the ones after that, and she kept discovering that he could do more than she had assumed.
