Obsession with My Quarterback Step-brother

Nate wants to go on being the person everyone takes him for, the quarterback with nothing out of place. A marriage in the family has just made Jax his stepbrother. Jax is arrogant, quick with his fists, and now has standing over Nate at home. Nate hates him more than he hates anyone. Jax uses the standing. He pushes Nate around with it and provokes him on purpose, again and again. Nate keeps the front up where people can see him. In private his own body stops obeying him around Jax, and he goes on letting it happen. By the time he takes the measure of it, he cannot say whether he wants to beat Jax or lose to him completely.
