She swapped her ability for another one, moved out to the countryside without telling anyone, and used the animals to build a base there and stock it with supplies. Her sister brought people to take the house more than once, and each time the animals, who had abilities of their own, drove them off. Ye Xi took in a beast called Xiao Jin and a mechanic named Gu Chen, and drove the house out to the safe zone in City A. Her father was working on a cure for the freeze, and the spirit plants she had were what he needed.
