Synopsis

Arthur Mercer injures his leg and visits the city for a checkup, staying with his daughter, Morgan Mercer. His visit coincides with the shared birthday of Morgan's mother-in-law, Beatrice, and her mother, Sylvia. Morgan looks forward to a happy family reunion, only to face Beatrice's relentless bullying. Her husband Oliver Gallagher's lack of sympathy pushes her into total despair. Yelling, I am done with this birthday banquet! Morgan flips the table at Beatrice's birthday banquet and demands a divorce.

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
