Demon's Kiss

Bella is a succubus. Her father Asmodeus sends her out to collect souls, and the arrangement she lives under leaves her no say in whose. She enrols at a college and attaches herself to Claire, who takes the new friendship at face value and introduces her around, including to her boyfriend Aaron. The two women spend enough time together that Bella starts stalling on the work she was sent to do, which is noticed. Claire begins to see things she cannot explain about her friend, and about what has been happening to people close to her. Aaron is already partway into the arrangement by the time she understands what it is. Asmodeus is not patient, and there is a limit on how long the collection can be put off before he handles it himself. Claire has to work out what has been taken, what can still be given back, and what Bella is willing to do to her own father, while Bella has to decide whether she wants out of a life she was born into.
