Lucy is a medical student living with a father who beats her, and the one place she gets any relief is a submissive arrangement with a man she has never seen. Lucy is now split between two men and does not know they are one. When her mother is dying and Lucy breaks the rules to be at the hospital, it is Ethan who finds the kidney that saves her.
