Su Jinyan was left as an orphan by her birth mother, Liu Qingyi. Ling Yao grew up in the same woman's house as her stepson, watched and managed by her. Su Jinyan approached Ling Yao on purpose. The two became involved, and the relationship broke both of their lives apart.
