Died Broke, Woke Up A Healing God!

Xu Yang is a university student with late stage liver cancer and no money left for treatment. He walks into a foot spa and finds his cousin's wife there, sold to settle a debt. He tries to get her out and the men holding her beat him until he is nearly gone. Lying there he wakes the Shennong herbal codex, an old body of medical knowledge that comes to him whole. He gets up, gets her out, and puts the thugs down. The cancer that was going to kill him he cures himself overnight. From there he works outward. A field of medicinal crops is destroyed and he rebuilds it in a single night. He treats illnesses other doctors have given up on. He brings a wealthy businessman back from dying with three needles. He takes salt ruined ground and makes it grow again, and gets the whole village planting herbs on it. The debt collectors and the merchants who had been squeezing the district find him standing in their way, and so do people from his own past who assumed he was finished.
