Fatal Seduction: I Fell for My Husband's Seducer

Julian, a concert pianist known for a cold and reserved manner, is married to a man who turns out to be hiding an affair. The husband is also plotting to take Julian's fortune, a scheme that in one version involves arranging to have him killed for the money. Julian finds out about both the affair and the plot. He decides to answer this with a calculated revenge rather than confrontation. He goes to a gay bar and selects Rhys, a rough-edged former boxer, as the instrument of his plan. Julian spends time reshaping Rhys, his manner, his clothes, his speech, until he can pass as a venture capital tycoon with real standing. The goal is to use this fabricated persona to draw the husband and the other woman into a trap that will strip them of money and reputation. As the two men work together on the deception, day after day of close contact starts to produce something neither of them names out loud. A tension builds between Julian and Rhys that has nothing to do with the plan on paper. Julian, still guarded, does not act on it, and Rhys, playing his assigned role in public, does not either. Close to the point where the trap is meant to close on the husband and his mistress, Julian starts to notice that Rhys had his own reasons for getting close to him from the start, reasons that were never part of the arrangement they agreed to. What began as a business of mutual use, one man buying a face for his revenge and the other taking the money and the role, has turned into something neither can fully account for anymore.
