The Wife They Shouldn’t Have Betrayed

Lin Yue came from money. Three years ago she married Chen Yu, who did not, and she let his mother Zhao Yulan and his brother Chen Kai live rent free in the riverside apartment she had paid for herself. The Chen family began telling people the apartment belonged to Chen Kai. They put her out of it and took the jade bracelet her mother had left her. Lin Yue waited for Chen Kai's wedding day. She had the apartment emptied, produced the deed in front of the guests, and went to the police about the bracelet. The Chen family turned on each other. Chen Yu and Chen Kai were convicted and sent to prison. Lin Yue divorced, kept the apartment and the bracelet, and was later named businesswoman of the year.
