Underworld: One Punch to Rule

The old chairman of the Azure Syndicate has just died, and his daughter Susan returns from abroad to take over. Crow, from the rival Blackstone Syndicate, shows up with a heavily built fighter to make trouble, and no one in the hall steps forward to stop them. Grayson moves in and drops the fighter with one punch, and the room goes quiet. He holds the position through that single show of force. Grayson had come to the Azure Syndicate as a plant, sent in after months of training under a woman in red whose name he never learns. He sought her out after his sister was persecuted, and she pushed him past his limits before putting him inside the organization. Once he has the leader's seat, he starts pulling threads. He gets hold of information on an overseas smuggling route, roots out informants working against the syndicate from within, and settles accounts for Shane, killed earlier in the conflict. He leads the Azure Syndicate against the Blackstone Syndicate and the Northern Wolves, and in a one-on-one match he beats Lin, a fighter known for caring about nothing but combat. At the docks, with the Southern Chairman, the man behind the killings, finally cornered, Grayson turns up evidence linking the Ocean Gala event to a transnational crime operation. Chasing it out to sea means letting the Southern Chairman walk free for now, and the two goals cannot both be met at once.
