Synopsis
Grace stands accused of destroying her husband James's family, and the accusation was made up. For five years she has lived as a servant in what is her own husband's house. She is despised there, James has taken a new lover who fills her place, and she is punished because she will not confess to something she did not do. Nobody knows that she is dying of an illness with no cure, or that she is carrying James's child. She writes James a letter, and by the time he reads it, it is too late.
