My Family Called the Police on My Wedding Day

Emma is standing at her own wedding when her mother telephones the police to report that the groom is controlling her. Six months before that, Emma was the daughter nobody looked at. Her family sent her out to work and took her younger sister, the one they indulged, to Paris. She got tired of being the one left behind and went to Port Meridian without telling anyone where she had gone. There, people she had never met asked her what she wanted, which had not happened before. She found work, built it into something, and fell in love. Her family noticed she was gone and started trying to pull her back home. The call to the police brings all of them into the same station together, and Emma has to say in front of them whether she is going back.
