A Legend in Heels

The novel that all of this happens inside has a supporting villainess in it, and the role comes with an ending the woman holding it does not survive. The Fated Villain System attaches to whoever holds the role and pays out fate points for interfering with the fortunes of the story's favoured children, which is the only way out of that ending. Mandy Carter wakes up as the villainess. Her plan is to break the engagement she has been written into and live quietly on family money, well away from the leads. It stops working when Brandon Poole and Mason Hale, the two men the story was built around, begin hearing her thoughts. The plot leaves the track it was on. Vivian Mitchell is written as the heroine and is doing something else with the position. She works with an organization called Damashii and is swallowing the holdings of one family after another. Mandy moves between the factions with the system feeding her points.
