Synopsis

Gu Wan receives a message from her half-sister asking her to catch an adulterer, but an encounter in a narrow inn closet brings her face to face with Huo Xizhou, a powerful marshal hiding from pursuers. The ordeal changes Huo’s view of women, and after meeting Gu Wan he comes to see her as an exceptionally capable wife who can heal, support the family, and rule the household.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
