Synopsis

Nine rings of the Bell of Chaos bring nine fairy masters' attention to Ye Xiu, a newcomer who does not understand what he has done. Chosen by a god after dying from office overwork, he enters a cultivation world and demonstrates a command of its knowledge and laws that earns him their personal instruction.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
