The Real Mrs. Morris

Catherine Morris runs Morris Group and is a working scientist. She and her husband Evan agreed years ago not to have children. She spends a year in Seattle on a research posting, and comes back to find that Evan has had a baby with a woman named Megan, that Megan has moved into her Beverly Hills house, and that Megan is introducing herself around town as Mrs. Morris. Catherine's calls go nowhere. She is blocked from her own home, humiliated in front of people who used to work for her, described as mentally unstable, and dismissed from her post. Her brother Chris pulls her out of it. She goes through the paperwork and finds that everything Evan has, the money and the standing both, came out of her work, because her patents were filed under his name. Megan is charged with fraud and Evan with assault and bigamy, and both go to prison. Catherine puts herself back together, presents the research she was in Seattle to do, and is named a candidate for the Nobel Prize under her own name rather than as the chairman's sister.
