Synopsis

Shen Xuanyi is protected by his wife Gu Yuezhen, childhood friend Pei Xiangxiang, and sister Shen Leyan. On his 29th birthday, his sister is brutally murdered. His wife defends the killer, while Pei pressures him to forgive. Heartbroken, he dials a mysterious number from his grandma's music box.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
