Synopsis

Ten years into her marriage and heavily pregnant, Elsie Wright is humiliated on their anniversary when her husband Osbert Blair celebrates with her best friend Rebecca Marrow and her daughter. Elsie goes into premature labor, and their seven-year-old daughter Joy's pleas for help are dismissed by Osbert, who is misled by Rebecca into believing it's a lie.
