Cadence White got the news that Julian Parker was engaged to Qin Wei. At the engagement party she was accused of drugging him, and what came out of that was a marriage to Julian she had not asked for and three years of him keeping his distance. She had been with Julian fourteen years by then, from the street through to the point where his family took him back. During the marriage she carried the drugging story and a second charge on top of it, that she had pushed someone off a building. Qin Wei went behind her back, and so did a woman nobody would name who was living at the Songjian house. Before all of this Cadence had ten million followers and was known for her singing, and by the third year she had fallen into depression. She asked for the divorce and set about answering the accusations. Julian understood at that point that the three years had come out of something he had got wrong and a protectiveness he had never explained.
