Reborn: I Married You to Survive

The term is three years. Lila Miller is dying after a car crash when a System offers to put her back among the living if she can make Jax Sullivan love her inside that window, with deletion as the alternative. Jax is the heir to the gang, and she knows his face from her childhood, when she used to watch him from a distance, though he has no idea who she is. What Jax has instead is Ava Watson, who he has settled on as the love of his life and who draws attacks from every enemy he has. One of his men picks Lila to stand where Ava stands and take what is meant for her. Lila's condition for the job is that Jax marry her, which puts her close enough to work on the System's task. Over the three years she is stabbed again and again in Ava's place and Jax stays where he was. When the term runs out the System begins the deletion.
