The Future Me Said Run

Wen Xingmian was writing a love letter to Ji Beichen when she found a warning on the page in blood, telling her to get away from her husband and to watch him and Bai He. It claimed to come from her own later self. "Believe me, I'm the future you." The child she was carrying was to be used to keep another woman's son alive. She saw the two of them working the plan out between them and left without letting on. Ji Beichen brought Bai He into the house. He hurt Wen Xingmian more than once and at one point sent her into danger that had been meant for Bai He. She stopped expecting anything from him and set up a jump into the sea that would be read as a suicide. Ji Beichen worked out what he had done too late, searched for her country by country, and in the course of the search pulled apart what Bai He and her brother had been running. When he found her she was with Xu Shaoqing.
