God’s Poisonous Lady Rules the World

Lin Ranyue is poisoned at ten years old and left with scars on her face. Her father, the chancellor Lin Qing, arranges her marriage to Xiao Xuanjing, the Prince of Li, who wanted to marry Shangguan Rou of the Nangong family. Xiao Xuanjing is the son of the previous emperor, and his uncle took the throne with Lin Qing's help, so he holds both men responsible and extends that to the wife who was pushed on him. The night before he takes Shangguan Rou as his consort, Lin Ranyue drugs him so he will spend the night with her, and he humiliates her for it. She throws herself into the lake. The body is about to be carried out by the servants when a surgeon named Lin Ranyue, dead in a car accident after long hours in the operating room and driving while exhausted, wakes up inside it. She decides to live the life she has been handed. She treats the scarring on her face with her own medical knowledge, deals with the servants who had abused the household's least valued member, disrupts the wedding, and makes a mess of Xiao Xuanjing's wedding night. He has her whipped for it, and Mo Li, the captain of his guard, gives her money and medicine out of pity. Later she saves Mo Li's younger brother Mo Zhu, and Xiao Xuanjing's opinion of her begins to change as the two of them are pulled into the same plot against him.
