Betrayed by My Wife, I Became a Legend

Eli inherited the Windsor Enamel Technique, a body of knowledge that had come down through his family, and he spent his marriage putting it at his wife's disposal. Seraphina got the credit and the standing in the field; he stayed out of sight and did the work. She came to believe the skill was hers. When a royal vase was broken it was Seraphina who broke it, and when the question of blame came up she took the word of her apprentice over Eli's. He filed for divorce and stopped explaining himself. The end of it came at a gala where Eli's identity as the heir to the technique was put on the record in front of the guests who had spent years assuming Seraphina was the source. His own pieces were there to be compared with hers, and the comparison did the rest of the damage to her name. The technique had been held as a monopoly, its secret kept and its price fixed. Eli broke that by performing the lost Windsor method live in front of everyone, working it through step by step where anyone could watch and learn.
