Zeus's Favorite Daughter Dumped You

Selene is Zeus's daughter and she gave up her godhood to marry Damon, a mortal with nothing. They had three good years and she got pregnant. Her father decided the arrangement had gone on long enough and summoned them both up to Olympus during the festival of the wine god, meaning to tell Damon who his wife was and to raise him to godhood himself. On the way up the Heavenly Stairway, Damon convinced himself he had found a faster route through another attachment. He left Selene on the stairs. Then he shut her up, beat her, and dragged her to the moon temple, and she lost the child. Her three brothers, gods with real force behind them, reached her at the bottom of that and carried her back up the mountain. Damon eventually learned whose daughter he had abandoned, and by then there was nothing he could do with the knowledge. Selene stands at the peak looking down at the mortal world, and the expression on her face is not one her brothers can read.
