Synopsis

Gu Nian has no family of her own. Old Master Chi is ill, and a marriage is arranged to bring him luck. She is married to Chi Yu, the heir of the Chi family, whom she has loved quietly for years. After the wedding Chi Yu is cold to her and keeps his distance. Gu Nian spends a year looking after him and lowering herself, and gets the same coldness back. When there is nothing left to hope for she asks for a divorce and leaves. Only once she is gone does Chi Yu understand what her care was worth, and he begins trying to win back the wife he ignored.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
