Synopsis

Before leaving his hometown, Liam Lambert promises his fiancée, Tanya Litt, that he will return and make her empress once he becomes emperor. Years later, after founding a new dynasty, he returns home disguised as a commoner. He discovers that Tanya has betrayed him and decided to marry the county magistrate’s son. Humiliated, beaten, and extorted by local officials, Liam hides his identity and sets a trap to expose every corrupt figure at his homecoming banquet.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
