Wrath of A Farming Wife

Tu Mingyue's grandfather needs medical treatment that the family cannot pay for. Her cousin Tu Yanxin, who is meant to marry Gu Ziyan, refuses, because Gu Ziyan is said to be paralyzed and poor and because she is busy chasing the playboy Huo Tianhao. Tu Mingyue is sent in her place. Tu Mingyue's parents died when she was young and her uncle's family has been living off her work for years. She goes to Xingfu Village as the substitute bride and starts growing vegetables, then builds the plot into a business, saving the money for treatment on Gu Ziyan's legs. She does not know that Gu Ziyan is the head of the wealthy Gu family, out in the countryside with his identity hidden and pretending to be disabled so he can look over his own industries quietly. Her kindness and her stubbornness get to him and he starts protecting her without telling her. Tu Yanxin and her mother Ma Lijuan are jealous and come after the business again and again. They spread word that Tu Mingyue's vegetables are contaminated with poison, work with local thugs to forge the deed to the property and take the farm restaurant, and bring in Huo Tianhao to make more trouble for her.
