She is eighteen, it is the 1980s, and she has just been taken into the national space agency after solving the biggest problem in the country's spaceflight program. At home it has come out which of the family's two girls is the real daughter. The other one puts on a show for the family, the family sides with her, and she watches it and smiles. She has been through all of it once before. That time she spent twenty years fighting the other girl for the inheritance and for the family's favour, until a rocket exploded and she came to be called a national disgrace. This time she leaves the fighting to the other girl. The family doubts her and there are people scheming against her. She keeps her place at the agency and works, as a scientist, on the rockets it sends up.
