Flames of Betrayal: He Saved the Dog, Not His Daughter

Synopsis

For seven years, Nina gave everything to Damian—her powerful boss, her secret lover, the man who owned both her heart and her career. She handed over her dignity, her time, her dreams, never seeing the cost. Then his first love came back. Damian pushed her aside without a second thought and stripped away everything she'd fought for. Nina fled New York and started over from zero. She healed. She thrived. She forgot the man who once destroyed her. But fate isn't done with them. A violent encounter throws them back together, and long-buried truths begin to surface. She thought that chapter was closed forever… but what if the biggest secret of all is still waiting for her?

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.

The plot is hard to follow and never really comes together. With all the flashbacks and dream sequences, the pacing has no tension at all…
