Synopsis

Qinglu, a maid in the Duke's mansion, suffered from the obsessive and harmful behavior of her young master Zhou Cheng'an. She faked her death and fled the capital with her childhood sweetheart Xiao Yi, finding a new, ordinary life in Jiangnan. Zhou Cheng'an, a man of immense power, was trapped by his half-life obsession. He secretly watched over Qinglu and her son for sixteen years. In the end, he died defending Qinglu's son, Zhou Changfeng, on the border. The grievances spanning two generations were finally and completely reconciled amidst the fireworks of the southern region.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
