Synopsis

Qiao Zhifeng asks Yang Liu for a divorce after ten years of marriage and tells her she will leave with nothing. He has been seeing Xia Lili, his first love. Around the same time Yang Liu is diagnosed with cancer. She moves into a basement room with her daughter. Her feelings toward Qiao Zhifeng stay tangled, and the two of them keep pulling at each other while she works out how to stand on her own.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
