Basically the Chinese version of Japan's My Happy Marriage. The plot is... eh, it's fine. Lin Yunjie's face is the most entertaining part.
Baek Seol-hwa, the dating master who reads every signal flying between men and women. Romance fantasy, love square. The leads have great chemistry so it's watchable. Lots of kissing, which I love. Happy ending, which I also love.
Stars Jung Seung-gyeong as the female lead. She plays a woman who lived as her Hallyu-star husband's shadow, only to get betrayed and divorced, and then goes to find her own life. I watched it for Jung Seung-gyeong and Jin Ju-hyeong. You can find plenty of similar rehashed-to-death setups in Chinese short dramas too.
Jin Zhu-xing's in it and I can't believe I hadn't watched one — you get abs once. And the kissing: mid-series while drugged, then a quick one a year later near the end. But it's Jin Zhu-xing, and that smile is so pretty I just keep watching. This is another well-worn Chinese short plot. Married without knowing each other's faces, a year later they misunderstand and try to divorce — she's his secretary, he's her boss, but they realize it's the same person, clear things up, happy ending. It's got Jin Zhu-xing so of course it's a rec!!!
A contract with Lucifer. A pact with the Demon King. It's silly but fun. There's also a hidden 300-year-old backstory. Happy ending. I first met male-lead Lucifer over in Change as a BL role, but here he's something else entirely.
So relieved the ending didn't tie things up neatly. Honestly this is the show that made me fall for the male lead, but I spent the whole thing cursing him out like crazy. Still, his suit fit and slicked-back hair were more than enough to make me swoon.
Saw Zeng Hui and Pei Yan were in it so I bookmarked it and finally got around to watching. Zeng Hui plays the Demon King — kinda cold on the surface but total tsundere who does everything for his family, and Pei Yan is this ditzy airhead who somehow nails her lines when it counts. There's a drama within the drama, you even meet Li Ke-yi as a cute little bunny yokai. Anyway, fun stuff.
Should I get a dog?? A pet who crossed the rainbow bridge for their owner comes back to set her up with a guy, lol. Somebody set ME up with a rich boyfriend!!! You get some shirtless male-lead action too. And Ppobi and Happy are just too cute~ All for their owner's happiness^ ^
Gorgeous to look at, and the male lead is so utterly whipped for her it's ridiculous, but the plot goes flying out the window in the back half once the war stuff scales up, which is a shame. Still, he doted on her so well that I had a fun time with this reincarnation one.
It's an AI drama so it has its limits, kinda cheesy but fun. Princess Seon-a is the villain but oh, she had a whole plan. Being the crown princess brought her nothing good, but happy ending in the end. Since it's AI, the same character keeps morphing into a different-looking person lol. Still fun though^ ^
At 40 episodes it's an easy one to start. Based on the folktale about a rat transforming into a person, it teaches you never to carelessly toss your nail clippings. As always, the answer is: get a cat.
It's BL and it's actually good. He conquers both his complex and his yips. The male lead is handsome, swims well, and the story was solid too. First time seeing this actor and his acting was fine. Don't write it off just because it's BL, if it's good it deserves a watch. One of the better Korean BLs out there.
A guy so steady he takes 99 of the 100 steps toward a heroine too wounded to trust anyone, and just embraces all of her... how is my heart supposed to survive this 😭
Male lead Zhang Yan-yu is an actor I'd never seen before and WHY is he this handsome — every time his tears fell, mine did too. From episode 18 on it's just so sad... I'd heard it was a sad ending but watched the whole thing going 'no way, no way it is,' and it WAS a sad ending ㅠㅠ Ugly-cried for the first time in ages. ㅠㅠ But sad as it is, it's genuinely so well made. If you're okay with a sad ending, watch it. Truly recommend recommend!!!
Office romance. A boss and secretary who couldn't be more opposite~ Wild to see Go Woo-ri from Rainbow in this. Feels like short dramas are pulling in a lot of ex-idol actors these days. The story was just so-so, though. Your standard, predictable office romance.
Yoon Hyun-min AND Jung Hye-sung in a short-form drama?! And director Lee Jung-seob behind the camera. Two people meet through secondhand trading to swap their ex-wife's and ex-boyfriend's stuff, and as they share how they're getting over their breakups, they learn to stand on their own — a single-people story. The villain junior boyfriend approaching the heroine for a project, though... yeah, that part was a bit much.
Rebirth + fake contract + hidden identity + a mask. A gift basket stuffed with every short-drama cliche in the book. Ak Woo-jung's acting, though, is flawless.
