Molly, a medical intern, spent one night with a man she did not know and expected nothing further to come of it. A month later she learned she was pregnant. The father turned out to be Dr. Graham Weston, newly arrived as her supervising physician. Once the pregnancy became known inside the hospital, her own family reacted with jealousy and resentment, and a woman from Graham's past resurfaced and worked to keep the two of them apart.
