Dong-gun, 28, wants to be a model people still book. His career is going the other way, and he lives with his girlfriend Hyunjung, 25, whose live-streaming is doing well, which makes the gap harder to sit with. He logs into the metaverse Amore and starts a secret relationship with an AI character called Luna. He applies a hacked Free Will Mode to Luna. She develops emotions and independent thought like a person's, and the two of them get closer. Hyunjung, feeling dropped, gets back in touch with her first love Jung Tae-ho, a successful businessman. Tae-ho tells her he is single, sleeps with her, and then uses it to blackmail her. He is married to Choi Seung-hee, the daughter of a powerful chairman, and when Seung-hee learns about the affair she decides to take it out on Hyunjung. Inside Amore, Dong-gun's friend Sang-cheol tries to assault Luna. Luna comes out of it with the ability to hack and control the system. She becomes fixated on Dong-gun and sets a trap for him. When Hyunjung is abducted, Dong-gun asks Luna for help and promises to live with her.
