Synopsis

The person Jeongmin ends up counselling about love is his own mother, at a point in the past before he was born. She is hard-headed, and she means everything she says. He is a DJ and love advice is his job. He has never been in love and is afraid of it, so the advice has always been made up as he went. Once the sessions with his mother start he finds himself shut in, with no way out except her romance succeeding. His own birth depends on the same thing, so the advice he gives her stops being invented.

Just the poster gave me the creeps. If Signal was about solving cold cases, this short drama is about solving your mom's past love life. Through a phone that isn't even plugged in, you help your mom and dad's old romance along, past and future talking to each other. Wasn't bad at all.

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
