Finn is working as a security guard, and the job is a cover. He was sent down from the mountains to protect Lauren, who runs a company worth billions, and she is not told any of that. He crosses her early on and she starts investigating him, and a number of rich young men around her set about getting him removed. Every day takes him closer to being found out. What Finn had not known is that Lauren is the girl he grew up with and lost. Their meeting brings up the rest of it: the tie between them was cut by a disaster, his family was killed with no noise made about it, and the inheritance that should have come to him went into the ground with them.
